It’s June and the summer heat is certainly here.
The commitment to get up early for school is paused. Commitments reflect things of importance to people. When you are committed to something, you dedicate time, energy and effort to it. Jobs, relationships, and parenting are huge life commitments. What drives you to keep the commitments in your life?
Being committed to Christ must be on purpose. You will be tested in this world. However, God’s commitment to you will never fail. He is always with you and loves you unconditionally. Your most important commitment is your relationship with Him.

REMEMBER:
Commit everything you do to the Lord. Trust Him and he will help you. Psalm 37:5

May is here and I hope you showed kindness to your mom on Mother’s Day. Kindness is necessary in our broken world. It is free, but invaluable. Kindness is helping others, including others, complimenting a stranger or giving a reassuring smile. There are thousands of ways you can show kindness to others. When was the last time you were kind to someone?
Jesus searched out the sick, poor, lonely and weary and showed His loving kindness. You can do the same. Be an example of kindness for Christ. You will be blessed when you share your time and generosity with those who are in need. An unknown author wrote : one kind ACT is better than a thousand kind thoughts.

REMEMBER:
Be kind to each other, tender hearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you. Ephesians 4:32

April is here and I pray you are looking forward to this Spring season. Prayer is the best form of encouragement for yourself or someone in need. When you tell someone you are praying for them, you can sense their feeling of gratitude and God’s peace. Praying for someone is a blessing. Do you tell others that you are praying for them?
An intimate relationship with God must include prayer. God wants us to talk with him daily. Think of your best friend and how you communicate. God already knows every detail of your life: past, present and future. Praying and listening to God will encourage and strengthen you in any situation. Don’t be afraid. God knows your heart. Just speak…

REMEMBER: The Lord is near to all who call on Him, to all who call on Him in truth! Psalm 145:18.

As spring begins, I am encouraged by the warmer weather and sunshine. Encouragement is necessary in our fallen world. We all need encouragement. We face battles everyday. Encouragement in Christ gives us strength to persevere. Do you find yourself giving and receiving encouragement?
Be an encourager to others and know that God loves you. You are His treasure. The Bible is filled with encouraging Scriptures. As we draw close to Easter Sunday, find encouragement in knowing that He is Risen!

REMEMBER:
For want ever was written in former days was written for our instruction, that through endurance and the encouragement of Scriptures, we might have hope.

It’s February, and love and trust are on my mind.
Trust is a necessary component in growing any relationship. Trust creates a sense of security and allows openness. Some people put their trust in worldly things, and sadly, stay worried, doubtful and disappointed. Who or what do you trust?

We must have faith to increase our trust in God. Scripture offers encouragement and helps us realize that God is in control of EVERYTHING! Accepting God, loving God and realizing that He has offered us the gift of eternal life should be enough for us to trust him with anything in our lives.

REMEMBER:
For every child of God defeats this evil world by trusting Christ to give the victory. And the ones who win this battle against the world are the ones who believe that Jesus is the Son of God. 1 John 4:5

It’s a new year and I hope you feel at peace about the year ahead.
Life is filled with excitement, obstacles and challenges. Being worried and anxious creates an unhealthy environment. How do you handle your everyday life?

God’s peace is meant to comfort you. It is a blanket of assurance to know that God can handle ANYTHING large or small that is coming your way. Trust that God knows what you are going through and do not give in to fear. Pray to God and feel his loving peace and presence in your heart.

REMEMBER:
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. John 14:27

It’s December and the time of year to experience Christmas joy. Christmas joy is something inside you. It is very personal. When you have Christmas joy, you handle things differently. Your heart is full, and all the stresses of Christmas are laughable. Have you found your Christmas joy?

Christmas joy reflects the birth of Our Savior… Peaceful, Innocent and filled with love for all! Share the love of Christ during Christmas by showing generosity and compassion to others. The Joy of the Lord gives you strength.

Merry Christmas and remember:
The shepherds said to one another “Let’s go to Bethlehem and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has told us about.” So, they hurried off and found Mary and Joseph and the baby, who was lying in the manger. Luke 2:15-16

It’s November and this time of year, we see people with many needs.

You may feel like you are in need of something, but most likely, it is a want. Some people, including children in our community
do not have the physical needs of food, clothing and shelter. As Christians, we are called to help those in need. What would you like to do to help?

Needs are not just physical. Your heart has needs too. God is the source to meet ANY need. Trust Him! He knows you and your needs. He loves you and wants the best for you!

REMEMBER:
My God will supply EVERY need of yours according to his riches in the glory of Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19

October is a milestone month for us. Five years ago, the first episode aired! Thanks to prayer and perseverance you are watching the 60th show!
Perseverance is often required during “severe” circumstances. The secret ingredient to get through your situation is faith. What are you dealing with that is requiring you to persevere?
Don’t give up! We are all being tested! Look at every situation as an opportunity to grow closer to God and glorify Him through your trials. You are fully equipped to handle anything because Jesus is with you! Find comfort in knowing that your salvation is the ultimate reward for perseverance.
